Mediations can be used in disputes between consumers and businesses, neighbors, landlords and tenants, parents and adolescents, communities, families, churches, civic groups and others. Mediation is appropriate to use in almost all civil disputes and should be considered if direct negotiations between the parties or the parties and their lawyers fail to resolve the dispute. Mediation is available in restorative justice, family mediation, organizational facilitation and many other instances. |
