The Families in Transition Class is an educational program for parents involved in court action over their children's residency or parenting time. The class teaches how parental conflict affects children and gives information and skills to parents to help minimize these effects on thier children. The presenters are professionals who work with families and are familiar with the effects of parental conflict on children. The format includes lecture, videotape, and small group work. Cost for the class is $45 per person. Special provision is made for those who are financially unable to pay. A waiver form can be obtained from the District Court Judge. Classes are available for residents of Scotts Bluff and Box Butte, counties. Contact the center for dates and location information.
